A love that lasts

I have a great little book on my bedside that I read regularly to remind me that staying
married isn't easy, it takes effort and nurturing. I am nearing my 20 year anniversary
with my husband and the road isn't always easy, but it is worth putting the time and
caring into. It's definitely easier to give up when things seem hopeless, but since I work
with engaged couples and I constantly see their love in it's early stages it is very
encouraging to put the extra effort I need to into my own marriage in order to make it
stronger and able to last past our 50th anniversary.

I am going to be sharing small little phrases with you that hopefully you can take
to heart and apply to your own relationship.

"You'll find perfection when you stop looking for it-
or demanding it".

Take care of your love so it will flourish,
Barbara
